Roxanne Okun, MBA, Ph.D.

…is the Principal and Founder of Okun Consulting, a firm specializing in human resource development. She delivers a wide range of consulting services including executive coaching and leadership development, recruitment and selection, individual and organizational assessment, performance management, training, and team-building. Her practice includes work in large corporations as well as non-profit organizations.

Before starting her consulting business in January 2000, Dr. Okun was a consultant with Personnel Decisions International. She has assessed and coached managers from a number of Fortune 500 companies, including Hewlett-Packard, Sun Microsystems, Compaq, Kmart, and the United States Postal Service. Her corporate career also includes several years in marketing research at Leo Burnett Company, a major advertising agency.

In addition to her corporate experience, Dr. Okun is a licensed clinical psychologist in California. She worked as a child and family therapist, providing long-term psychotherapy as well as brief, solution-focused treatment. She has worked in a variety of clinical settings, including the Department of Psychiatry at Kaiser Permanente, and has served on the Board of Directors at Conciliation Forums of Oakland, a community-based nonprofit organization providing mediation services and training in conflict management.

Dr. Okun earned her MA and PhD in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology; her MBA in Organizational Behavior and Marketing from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. She received her BA in Psychology from Dartmouth College.
